Although I've been up Meall nan Tarmachan at least 20 times, I've only been along the ridge a few times and not for 10 years or so. So I thought I'd give the ridge a visit and remind myself why hillwalkers think this is such a classic route. Weather had other ideas and with temperature dropping to around 5 degrees in the rain, mist and gusts, the wind-chill was well below freezing. The 'bad step', although badly worn and slippy in the wet, is nothing to worry about, and certainly can't be compared with the bad steps on Am Basteir, Ben Hope or the Aonach Eagach. The effort was rewarded with a fine rainbow infront of Meall Corranaich and Beinn Ghlas.
